A new phase can raise many questions. What do you want to keep? What no longer fits? And where do you begin when you are not yet sure where you want to go?
You do not have to answer every question on the same day. You can explore your direction while already taking a small step.
First look at what is here now
Make a simple overview of your current situation. What needs attention? Which commitments are already fixed? What do you have room for? Describe what you see without immediately turning it into a judgement about yourself.
Also write down what does work. Starting again does not mean everything you have built has lost its value.
Choose something you can try
Turn a big wish into a small experiment. Want to find out which work suits you? A conversation with someone in that field can reveal more than weeks spent considering every possibility.
An experiment does not have to be a final choice. You act to gather information and discover what fits your situation.
Put a next step on paper
Complete this: “This week I will try … because I want to find out … . Afterwards I will look at … to decide my next step.”
Make room to adjust
Choose a time to look back. What did you learn? What proved achievable? What needed more attention than expected? Use those answers to adjust your approach.
Progress does not always require a big final result. Finishing something, clarifying a boundary or deciding what to leave for now can also be a useful step.
